ASTÉRISME

Privacy policy

What we receive, what we keep, what we never collect.

Data controller

Astérisme LLC (in formation), reachable at inquiries@asterisme.ai. For residents of the European Union, Astérisme has not yet appointed an EU representative under Article 27 of the General Data Protection Regulation. All requests should be addressed to the email above.

Data we collect

On the website itself, we collect nothing. There is no analytics tool, no cookie set by our application, no tracker, no embedded third-party widget that profiles visitors, and no contact form.

When you visit the site, our reverse proxy records standard server logs: your IP address, the user-agent string sent by your browser, the requested URL, the HTTP status code, and the timestamp of the request. These logs are kept for thirty days, then deleted automatically.

When you write to inquiries@asterisme.ai, we receive your name, your email address, and the content of your message. The same applies to any reply you may send.

Legal bases

For server logs: legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, namely technical security and abuse prevention.

For email correspondence: pre-contractual measures taken at your request under Article 6(1)(b), combined with our legitimate interest in maintaining a record of correspondence under Article 6(1)(f).

Subprocessors and transfers

The technical data described above transits through the following providers, each acting as a subprocessor.

TransIP B.V. (Netherlands) — hosting infrastructure for the website itself. Intra-EU processing; no additional safeguards required.

Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — domain name resolution and email routing for the asterisme.ai domain. Transfer to the United States; relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses.

Google LLC (United States) — final delivery of email correspondence through Gmail. Transfer to the United States; relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses.

Internet Security Research Group / Let's Encrypt (United States) — issuance of TLS certificates. No personal data of site visitors is shared with this provider.

Codeberg e.V. (Germany) — hosting of our public source code repository. No personal data of site visitors is shared with this provider.

Retention

Server logs are kept for thirty days, then automatically deleted. Email correspondence is kept for the duration of the relationship with you, plus the statutory limitation periods applicable in Wyoming and, where relevant, in the European Union.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access your personal data, to request its rectification or erasure, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, write to inquiries@asterisme.ai. We respond within thirty days.

Supervisory authority

If you reside in the European Union, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country of residence. By way of indication: the CNIL in France, the GBA / APD in Belgium, the AP in the Netherlands, and the corresponding authority in your country.

Astérisme has not designated a lead supervisory authority, because it does not yet have a main establishment within the European Union.
